Sorry we're late with this update. We don't like spam and we're trying to strike the right balance on update frequency. Since we haven't yet hit the next milestone (physical bound test books in our hands), in some sense, there was nothing to report.
But ... we know you are all as anxious as we are for The Conjurer's Almanaq. So we're going to err on the side of over communicating, with an aim to send out emails every two weeks from here on out*. Even if there isn't much to say, we'll use these newsletters as an opportunity to give you little sneak peaks, like the picture above.
Book Status: We expect that we will get our physical bound test books in our hands at the end of this week, and we have solvers anxious to attack them. Although these copies are black and white, and we have redacted some things from our test solvers, they are very close to the final book.
Schedule: We know many Kickstarters ship late. That's no excuse, and it certainly wasn't our plan. Between production changes and upgrades, test solving changes, and our desire to make the book as good as possible, practically every single thing in the book has been replaced from the version we had at the end of the campaign. While this is good for the book, it has been a lot of work and made our schedule much less predictable than we'd like. But, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel! We don't know yet how long printing will take until we actually turn over the book, but we will communicate as much as we can when we know it.
