The Almanaq Store is Still Open

But First ...

We have made our usually colorful banner image black this time as a virtual moment of silence for the hundreds of thousands of people who have lost their lives to Covid-19 throughout the world, as well as a reflection on the ongoing injustices happening here in the United States.

We hope that you are staying safe as we all work toward a better future for our country and the world.

One thing that feels good for us is when people tell us that our books have made a difference for them while they're staying at home, that we've given them something to do together as a family, or that they've enjoyed collaboratively solving our puzzles with friends in Zoom or Hangouts.

Our Shipping department remains open, shipping books and accessories, including the remaining Limited Edition books we have. Shipping is a bit strange — we only go to the post office when they're closed. Yeah, this seems backwards to us too! This happens a couple of times a week, and it looks like cross-country Priority Mail is taking an extra day or two. If you're in more of a hurry than that, please drop us an email and let us know.

It will be a little while before we're ready to announce the next Almanaq, but we're working on a variety of puzzley things we think you'll find interesting in the meantime. More soon.

Lower Artwork Prices

We're happy to be able to lower the prices for the Librarian's Artwork and the Conjurer's Artwork pieces, thanks to a change at our photo lab. Prices have been reduced between $50 and $100 for these vivid metal pieces. We've also just added lower-priced photo prints for both pieces, in sizes that can easily be framed. The quality of these pieces is also excellent. Any one of them will look great on your wall.* Just remember that the Librarian's Artwork is a major spoiler!

Other Puzzles You Might Like

Puzzazz, the puzzle technology company founded by Roy, is running a program called Puzzles With Heart, in which they've made more than a dozen puzzle ebooks free for now, and have hefty discounts on a few other ebooks. Puzzazz puzzle ebooks work in their best-in-class app for iPhone and iPad, but a few of their newer books are also available via downloadable PDF files. Check them out!

We recommend you take a look at Puzzle Bouquet, a 7-puzzle puzzlehunt originally released for Mother's Day to benefit Every Mother Counts, by Kid Beyond (aka Andrew Chaikin), Alison Muratore, Mike Selinker, and Sandor Weisz.

And then there's Magic Puzzles, a very successful Kickstarter, and deservedly so, for some fun, magical jigsaw puzzles. We know these folks and they're cool. The campaign wraps up on Wednesday, so get on over there now! (And make sure to watch all the magic videos in their updates!)

Until next time, thanks for all your support!

Roy and Emily
