Almanaq Shipping Deadlines and More

Well, we finally got unburied from the initial orders, and everything ordered so far is on its way or delivered already. From here through the end of the year, we aim to ship orders received before noon the same day they come in. In this newsletter:

Some Limited Edition Books Left

There are still Limited Edition books remaining in the Almanaq Store. We've increased the limits on those items, so you can now buy up to three, and will be opening it to people who weren't Kickstarter backers. There are also still copies of the rolled-up maps and dust jackets available.

What Time is It?

Holiday Ordering Deadlines

For US orders, we ship via USPS Priority Mail, which is a big benefit for those who procrastinate. For most orders, this means that orders received by noon on December 18th (and possibly the19th) will arrive by December 24th. Those on the West coast can procrastinate a bit longer, until the 20th (or perhaps the 21st).

For International orders, we ship via Federal Express, which we believe will give us about the same shipping schedule, but there's no absolute guarantee.

For Artwork orders, you can order orders delivered within the US through the 20th for delivery by the 24th. International orders placed after today will probably arrive after the 25th.

Zazzle hasn't posted their holiday shipping schedule, but we're pretty sure that only expedited shipping will be delivered by the 24th.

In all cases, if you wait until the last moment, there may be shipping delays due to weather or other factors beyond our control.

Shipping Prices Going Up Next Year

Shipping rates have risen in the last year, and another rate increase is coming in January. International rates went up significantly and most international packages now cost us more to ship than we're charging, not counting the box, etc. (Oops!) Calculating shipping is complicated, but we're going to make some changes to be more accurate and reflect the higher costs. Some rates might go down a bit as a result of being more accurate, but we expect most will go up.

What does this mean? Place your orders in December, not January!

Thanks for all your support!

Roy and Emily
